Fish Report - January 13, 2012

With the arrival of winter, we have been experiencing winds from the North; but, when the winds calm down and the clouds move out giving us flat seas, the rod bending action has been very good over all!

Most of the fish have been "Fire Cracker" size; but, have had a few that weighed in between 30-40 pounds. Closer to shore, we are still finding Sierra which are providing the main action. The best time we found to find these fish is early morning as the winds pick-up, the action quickly slows down.

Fish Report December 18, 2011

The Baja Mosquito Fleet of professional captains are still finding for our anglers, bursts of Dorado action when weather conditions permit. Due to the north winds, most of our fishing is being done inshore for pargo and sierra. This inshore fishing is providing for our anglers great rod-bending action on light tackle.

REPORT NOVEMBER 17th.

October and November have been producing angling excitement, producing BULL DORADOS
in the 12lb - 30lb ranges, Marlin, sailfish and Tuna! Recently we have been catching sierras in the 6lb rages also.

Due the north winds that gre starting to came, we have now started fishing around the out
crops for Pargos, Cabrilla and some action with rooster fish.

there are some more fantastic weeks left for pulse pounding angling action before
the winter fishing season starts.

BEST CONDITIONS FOR SPEARFISHING

October showed once more to be a perfect month for spearos. Toto introduced Giuseppe to the challenging but productive hunting grounds of Espiritu Santo Island, the perfect climatic conditions help in having the best possible experience and the catches made the perfect day.

WHAT A FINE DAY

Giuseppe, from Italy, and Ryan ,from California, took full vantage of Toto guiding and can show as result a fine mix bag, pargos, cabrillas and snooks as the catch of the day.

SPEARFISHING MASTER CLASS

Giuseppe Galloro, from Italy. is an experienced spearfisherman and a good friend and client.

He spent few days under Toto direction attending a master class with excellent result, responsible harvesting that we always advocate , produced some fine catches to be prod of.

ITALIAN STYLE

Andrea is from Italy and came to La Paz to dive with the Cortez Club but he took the chance to spend a day fishing for dorados.

Trolling around the island under the expert guiding of captain Pancho produced some nice lampugas, that is italian for dorado, that were prepared for dinner at the club facilities .

WONDERFUL WEATHER

Fishing conditions are perfect right now. October, once more, shows to be one of the best month of the year with fine weather, calm seas and warm waters . Dorados are roaming on the coast and around Espiritu Santu island, this group of good clients show here how is done. Good job, nice catches for a perfect fishing day.

BEST SEASON FOR SPEAR FISHING

The beginning of October is the start for the best spear fishing conditions in La Paz, the water is clear and warm and a lot of fishes are back in the rocky bottoms. As usual Toto only harvests the few exceptional ones. To all of you Spearos, we are waiting for you.

DORADO SEASON

Dorado season in La Paz is still going strong. Valentin and Roberto enjoyed Jose, one of our fishing team member, in a day out fishing the rich waters around the Spiritu Santo Island. The result was some nice bulls that offered strong fights on light rods . The weather and sea conditions remain perfect for this kind of catches.
